"The Painter's Wife"

Pleased to announce my poem "The Painter's Wife" is up at Linebreak (http://www.linebreak.org/). Their format features a text version as well as an audio version (a collaborative approach as the audio version poems are read by other poets). Enjoy--and submit your own poetry. New work appears every Tuesday.

I really enjoyed hearing it read as well!

Congratulations, Tania! I love the energy and passion here, and the juxtaposition of people and animals and nature. There's so much quiet conflict here. The first line got me, that the rain would bring him home early and all the vivid details and revelations throughout carried me along. The closing image is fresh and telling. A very moving piece, well done.

Liz-- Thank you...

I'll have to take you up on hearing it next time I'm at your place...no time to wait for that cranky modem over here on Green Valley.

Ethel...

thanks for your close reading and comments. I resonate with the phrase "quiet conflict"--my brother has given me similar feedback about my work. Closing the circle of course is having others read and be moved--sweet to have your support.
